In June 2007, Intense Productions and Radius Pictures, in association with Screen Ops, began production in Hong Kong on the action drama ‘Bodyguard: A New Beginning’, a UK/Hong Kong co-production.

The film’s cast includes the well known Asian actors Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa (‘Memoirs of a Geisha’, ‘The Last Emperor’), Richard Ng (‘Winners and Sinners’, ‘My Lucky Stars’), acclaimed Hong Kong actor Carl Ng (‘Boarding Gates’), Sing Fu On (‘The Killer’, ‘God of Gamblers’), and rising talent Vincent Sze (‘SPL’, ‘Dragon Tiger Gate’). British actress Stephanie Langton (West End production of ‘A Few Good Men’, BBC’s ‘Jekyll’) also features in the lead female role. Rounding off the action are two British martial arts stars Mark Strange (‘Batman Begins’, ‘The Medallion’) and 3-time world kick boxing champion Nathan Lewis (‘Batman Begins’)

‘Bodyguard: A New Beginning’ tells the story of Leung (Vincent Sze), the bodyguard of a Hong Kong Triad boss, Wong (Richard Ng), who is sent to the UK to protect a woman whose identity is known only by his boss. Even the boss’ own errant son, Yuen (Carl Ng), is kept in the dark. The efforts of a rival boss, Kai (Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa) to take over Wong’s territory leads Yuen to a betrayal that threatens to destroy all that his father has worked hard to protect.
